Flesh trade in Goa

The recenting trafficking allegations against a MLA again highlighted the fact that powerful men have a soft corner for young women, and they often let it affect their judgement. These powerful men think that they can get away with it, however only a single case can damage their reputation, and with surveillance, it is simple to monitor a person remotely.

The most colorful news in the case was about the broker Rosy farros which was published in thegoan newspaper, that she is allegedly notorious for making friends, luring young girls with ice cream and other goodies, as young women are in demand. Even women with a job complain of sexual harassment.

The other newspapers in Goa have not bothered to cover this aspect, however it has far reaching implications about a large number of young women who are involved in the flesh trade in goa. Young girls from poor families are particularly vulnerable.
